IULM University

IULM University was founded in 1968 on the initiative of Senator Carl Bo and Professor Silvio Baridon, as the University Institute for Modern Languages (I.U.L.M.), which from the very beginning had the mission to meet the needs of the labor market based on the analysis of current trends, and to train professionals who will face all the challenges on the market and international scene.

Today, this is a very prestigious Italian educational center for the study of communications and new media, as well as languages, tourism, art, design and other creative industries, which encourages the development of new professional staff for job profiles in the fields of corporate communication, marketing, media, interpretation and translation, public relations, cultural events, tourism, art and design.

IULM University is organized in three departments that function as strategic centers for the optimization and development of research, thanks to the combination of study potential and available resources: Business Department; Department of Communication; Department of Humanities. The campus of the University is located in Milan, and with its modern classrooms, drying rooms, library and spaces for chill, it rivals many of the world’s colleges that you must have seen on movies.

IULM guarantees its students a complete cultural background and a solid preparation, a mixture of theory and practical experience: an integrated approach that has always proven extremely useful for those who want to successfully enter the world of work and realize themselves as people.

Apart from the campus, the entire teaching is focused on the modern needs of the market, and special attention is paid to the acquisition of soft skills, but also diversity and inclusiveness, and social engagement.
