BRAZIL: MORE THAN SOCCER

“Hello EduEvo. I am finishing a master’s degree in Management and Leadership this semester and I will come back to my country to apply the acquired knowledge. In my case, I applied to 4 different countries and what made me chose Budapest was the short time of acceptance of my application and the affordable price of the course.

Education is highly important to me; it is what changed my life because the process of becoming a public servant requires being extremely focused and disciplined in order to study for a highly competitive process after completing my bachelor’s degree. And now, after I finish the master’s degree it will make me be in a better position at work.

I am an administrator in a Public Company called EMATER, an abbreviation for the Federal District Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company, which helps local farmers develop sustainable agricultural techniques and food security. This institution’s primary aim is to promote sustainable rural development and food security through Technical Assistance and Rural Extension.

My plan for now is to come back and apply my acquired knowledge in the company that I work in. In the future, maybe I will enrol Ph.D. studies.

Living and studying abroad is a wonderful experience that allows you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself. It forced us to step outside of our comfort zones and meet new people, face new challenges and problems, discover new interests, and learn a lot not only from university courses but also from day-to-day life. It’s a combination of joy and difficult situations, as well as being in a country where the language is not your native tongue, forces you to develop a wide range of skills. My only piece of advice is to go if you get the chance! Do not be hesitant! Simply go and take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
