A CALL FROM USA
Sara Golić
Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina
“Hi, my name is Sara Golić and I am originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I’m 21 years old. In order to describe myself quickly, I can use three adjectives and those are responsible, joyous, and hard-working. I am interested in reading, traveling and I can also be described as a hedonist when it comes to delicious food. In professional field, I am oriented towards Business career and therefore I am studying the Business Management program in our local university in Serbia. I haven’t had a chance to study abroad but I did travel on few occasions in the UK and the USA for the purpose of learning English language. I quite enjoyed these adventures because I got to expand my horizons and get to know many marvellous people.
For me education can be considered as an individual footprint in the world. It is the footprint that each person leaves on this world in the sense that it defines us in terms of our preferences, choices and skills. Moreover, education is the key to many doors in the adult world and it allows us to form our own opinions and arguments and therefore to succeed in the future world and job careers and acquire a sustainable lifestyle.
My current plans refer to my college life and I am planning on graduating from the Bachelor program and to further improve my studies by applying for the Master program. However, I do not neglect the practical experience and therefore I am eager to get some insight into the real business world by taking an internship opportunity in a local company. To future students I would firstly wish a lot of luck and then I would give them some advice on the time management as it is especially important for the future studies. They ought to be responsible and hand in their assignments on time. This is crucial to the successful study organisation. Moreover, they should be extroverted and always ask if something is unclear or strange to them.”
