Ms. Sonja Mihelič: Hi dear students, I am Sonja Mihelič, currently working as a corporate flight attendant for one of the world’s leading private jet companies, VistaJet Ltd.  I have been in the aviation world for 13 years now, however in the tourism & travel sector since I left high school.  My job consists of providing bespoke service and experience to our VIP customers, maintaining cabin presentation and cleanliness, organizing stock of the plane, and helping with any kind of arrival procedures, tailoring customers catering requests. I like to call it my own bed & breakfast in the sky.

EduEvo: How did you start your career?

Ms. Sonja Mihelič: I always had a passion for travel, languages and history of art and I found a way to combine what I love, when I became an official tourist guide for Serbia.  However, I always wanted to experience living abroad, and that took me to my first job as a cabin crew for Emirates airlines in Dubai. I had a great time living in the Middle East as I was exposed to so many new cultures, flavors, heritages which were an eye opener.  After 6 years, I decided it was time to go back to Europe and I got this amazing opportunity to start a career in private aviation, and I never looked back.

Ms. Sonja Mihelič: Both companies, Emirates and Vistajet take pride in their training and they transmit their mission, values and vision to new starters so well, that you feel very inspired working for them.

With my current company I had the opportunity to finish the prestigious WSET wine&spirit courses, British Butler institute course, Norland Nanny course, attended aviation air shows around the world and met incredible people on board, such as royals, celebrities, CEO’s of the world’s biggest companies.
